1- Drop Off
Since March 2021, Gatwick has introduced new drop-off charges.
A minimum fee of £6 is charged each time a vehicle enters the drop-off zone. This fee covers the first 10 minutes. An extra £1 is added per minute for up to 20 minutes. The highest charge is £26 for a 30-minute stay.
Blue Badge Holder Exemptions
Blue Badge holders get special perks at Gatwick. They can have a 30-minute free drop-off period, valid for up to three hours from the start time. To use this, apply for an exemption in advance through an online account at NCP.
Passengers needing extra help should book special assistance 48 hours before flying. Gatwick offers walking escorts, wheelchair help, and electric buggies. There are also seats for those waiting for help to get on their flights.
Payment Methods and Late Fees
You must pay for Gatwick airport dropoff by midnight the next day. You can pay online by creating an account (Autopayment), by phone (0330 174 4503), or Direct Online. If you don't pay on time, you'll get a £100 Penalty Charge Notice (PCN). This can be reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.
2- Pick Up
Gatwick short stay car parks are great for quick visits. They're near the terminals, just a 2-minute walking distance. Gatwick Airport long stay parking offers two hours free and a free shuttle to both terminals.
Short Stay car parks at Gatwick Airport are great for picking up passengers. They are close to both North and South Terminals. This makes picking up your passengers easy. These car parks are multi-storey and covered. They have 24/7 security and CCTV. Your car will be safe while you wait.
Express Pick Up areas in short stay car parks have standard parking rates. Here's what you'll pay:
